GUANOMAD, the Bat Guano of Madagascar

The Bat Guano of Madagascar, commercialized under the brand GUANOMAD, is made up from droppings
of and Bats (frugivore and insectivore). Bat Guano is a very balanced fertilizer and among the most powerful
ones known today.

Our Bat Guano has a high concentration of organic and mineral matters that creates a better
balance specially in nitrates and phosphorus. It contains other mineral matters (calcium, magnesium, Copper,
Iron…) which consolidate its efficiency over a mere mineral fertilizer or an organic fertilizer. The live microbial flora
as well as the mixture of solid and mineral excrements speeds up the process of mineralization and improves the plants’ nutrition.

Our bat guano has been processed to create a powder with particles of less than 3 millimetres across and is odourless. When incorporated in the soil, the live microbial flora acts on the organic matter to make nutrients available to the plants, including N (nitrogen), P (Phosphorus), K (Potassium ou Kalium), Ca (calcium), Mg (magnesium) and all minor elements.

A completely organic fertilizer, it is for universal use ,and can be applied in all kinds of crops. The high concentration of organic matter and nutrients means that it can be used in lower doses than other organic fertilizers, with guaranteed savings and productions.

Characteristics and recommendations for applying Bat Guano

Rich in nutrients, Guanomad is characterized by its content of essential elements (NPK) well-balanced, its high micro-organism and its organic matter content higher.

>> Doses for crops

• For fruit trees, apply GUANOMAD in each hole at the time of planting.
• For vegetables, apply GUANOMAD during sowing. For tree nurseries and seed-beds, mix 20% bat guano with 80% fertile soil, prior to sowing or planting.
• For saplings or existing crops on steep ridges, apply GUANOMAD in a horse-shoe shape around the plant, on the edge of its drip line. Take further steps to avoid soil erosion to ensure results.
• In order to obtain the best results, bat guano should always be thoroughly mixed with fertile soil, no matter the soil type or crop species. The adage holds that “organic fertilizer is best stored in the soil.”
• In order to determine the most appropriate application method and obtain the best results, it is recommended that thorough analyses be carried out on the soil, crop, and environment where bat guano is to be applied.
